Please find below the typically required kit for camp. Please note that everything brought to camp will need to be clearly named; lost property appearing to belong to nobody at the end of camp will be subject to a small surcharge on return. An expensive rucksack is not required; however please make sure that all items are physically able to be carried from the car to the camp.
Cloths - please bring enough to cover the period of the camp:
FULL Uniform - Must be worn to and from camp
Socks
Trousers NOT jeans
Shorts
Jumpers or Sweatshirts
T-shirts
Underclothes (ensuring spares)
Waterproof coat
Trainers
Strong Shoes/boots
Wellington/Gum boots
Hat: cap for the summer or beanie for the winter
Swimming trunks (if so required)
Sleeping:
Sleeping Bag
Karrimat or Similar
Pyjamas
Camp Badge Blanket
Teddy bear or similar
Eating. Please have the following in a clearly named bag:
Unbreakable plate
Unbreakable mug
Unbreakable bowl
Knife, fork and spoon
Hygiene:
Flannel
Soap
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Towel
Miscellaneous:
Torch and spare batteries
Plastic bin liner (for dirty washing)
Sun-cream (if weather favours this)
Book or magazine for quiet-time reading
Hanky
No electronic devices (for instance mobile phones, MP3 players, electronic games &c.)
No sharp knives. If a knife is required for an activity of camp then it should be handed to the leader on arrival
No food except otherwise specified (this can attract vermin)
No new clothes as things can go missing or return worse for wear!
