The Executive Committee

The Executive Committee plays a very important rôle within 2nd Newbury Scout Group; all be it most of the hard work is done 'behind the scenes'. The committee members, like all the leaders, are volunteers; often adults who currently have or have had their children in the Group. The committee meets about four times a year and arrange fund-raising activities and social events to contribute to the Group funds which helps pay for the activities the children enjoy so much. They also help to make sure that everything within the Group is being looked after and accounted for as well as investigating possibilities of grants and donations for improvements towards all aspects of the Group's equipment and Head Quarters.
